"Linking People and Gorillas Through Conservation and Sustainable Tourism"
Gorilla Brothers is a Tour and Travel company dedicated to promoting community-based tourism in the areas surrounding Volcanoes National Park, home to the magnificent mountain gorillas, locally known as Ingagi. Through responsible and sustainable tourism practices, the company creates meaningful travel experiences that connect visitors with the region's unique wildlife, rich cultural heritage, and local communities.
By working closely with community members, GORILLA BROTHERS contributes to conservation efforts, supports local livelihoods, and ensures that tourism benefits both visitors and residents alike.
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought the world to a standstill, resulting in lockdowns and the cessation of tourism. During this time, an inspiring event transpired — a majestic silverback gorilla led his family from the Park into our village, searching for tourists. JADO FALLON (HAKIZIMANA Jean de Dieu Fallon), the founder, along with fellow community members, were thrilled to see these gentle giants. This remarkable sight served as a powerful reminder of the harmonious connection between humans and gorillas, igniting a passion to start this organization.
To uplift the living standards of the younger generation in our community through conservation efforts and the economic benefits that arise from responsible tourism.
